JumpCloud is a Cloud-based MDM solution that managed both Windows and Mac desktop operating systems, including Linux, iOS and Android. Unlike Windows Domain, there is no need to set up and maintain a hardware server for that purpose. It comes with a directory service to store the users’ usernames and passwords so that each user only has to remember one set of credentials for their emails, company computers, cloud applications, VPN, and even the company’s WIFI. Security policies, software and patches  can also be pushed out easily to all devices as long as they are connected to Internet.

JumpCloud is designed for modern, cloud-first businesses—such as startups and SMEs—that lack a traditional on-premise Active Directory (AD). It is the ideal solution for companies with a distributed or remote workforce, allowing IT teams to securely manage user identities and devices (Windows, Mac, Linux) from a single cloud console, regardless of where the employees are located.
